Just put together a tossed salad using various greens, like spinach, romaine and. radicchio Add radishes, cucumber, bell peppers avocado and tomatoes. You can also add cooked shrimp or cooked chicken strips.
FYI-tomatoes and sweet potatoes actually are healthier when cooked.Does anyone have any good raw food recipes?
Cabbage salad is pretty good. Mix a few cups of sliced cabbage with a handful of sesame seeds and as much raw apple cider vinegar as your heart desires. Simple, but tasty surprisingly addictive.
Try a smoothie for breakfast. I like to throw frozen strawberries in a blender with either mango cubes or banana slices. I then add a handful or two of fresh spinach. I usually add almond milk to it, but since you said no nuts, water will work just fine. I've had it with water multiple times, and the taste is not sacrificed.
You could have collard green wraps. Take a rinsed collard leaf and pop in some avocado, red bell pepper, tomato, and carrot slices. Roll up and enjoy.
For dessert, I love banana ice cream. For the raw version, just add FROZEN banana slices to a food processor and blend until smooth. There you have it! Ice cream.
