You cannot convert it into white sugar. That requires a complicated chemical process to achieve. You can use it in place of white sugar. How can I convert Raw Sugar to White Sugar?
You can put it in the blender to make it a bit more like white sugar to measure, but you do run the danger of turning it into powdered raw sugar. I'd use them interchangeably; perhaps a tablespoon more raw sugar. Your recipe will be fine. How can I convert Raw Sugar to White Sugar?
Hi Jonelle
Heres the facts. You can use raw sugar anytime. Just buzz it up in a blender or food processor before measuring. Be careful not to buzz it so much that it becomes "powdered" but just enough to bring to a white sugar consistency.
By using the brown or raw sugars instead of the refined white, you will get a more of a molasses taste .... instead of just sweet.
I personally like the brown and raw sugars alot more than the refined white.
