Carnivore Food Recipe!?!?

I have Florida Gar, Clown Knife, Oscars, Jack Dempseys, etc most are carnivores

I want to make them a Home Made staple diet.

Does anyone have any great recipes?

Here is a recipe I came up with, Please add to it or give me a new recipe:

1. raw peeled shrimp( ganna dice em)

2. Uh...that's all I got, since their carnivores can I just feed them diced shrimp and feeder roseys? Some recipes I saw vitamins, if so what kind??? men's one a day??? women's one a day??? vitamin gummys?? XD Thanks!!Carnivore Food Recipe!?!?
Lol....great recipe there :)

Stay away from feeders if you can, unless you breed them yourself. They won't get all their nutrients and vitamins from feeders, and that's a good way to spread disease-if you use pet store feeders.

For vitamins, I just used the childrens liquid Poly Vi Sol, but any liquid vitamin is fine, just that's the only one I could find easily. Here's some links I have saved, but yet to try them out. They're not for carnivorous fish, but it gives you the jest of how to make them. This first one looks better:

Now, even though your fish are carnivorous, I would still add some greens-whether it's peas or spirulina flakes, maybe some romaine lettuce or something. But substitute the meats as you want, shrimp, clams, oysters, tuna fish, squid, fish fillets, beef heart(can buy this in the meat section of the grocery store cheaper then the fish food freezer at the pet store), beef liver, etc. Be creative and look around, you'll find other stuff that's "people food" and it's a lot cheaper then pet store foods. I would also probably pick up a small quantity of a good quality pellet food and add that into the mix as well. I would probably also pick up a cheap-o blender to use strictly for that....I would be sick to my stomach if some was leftover and didn't get cleaned out and it was in my blender when I made a chocolate shake....a tuna fish and oyster chocolate shake...oh yum!

Good luck!
