i am doing the rawr food diet starting next week . does anyone have any good recipes ?Raw food diet?
Super Easy Smoothie- 1 cup fresh squeezed OJ, 2 T agave nectar, 2 frozen bananas and blend!
My favorite snack- with baby carrots!
Cashew Ranch Dip
Ingredients
1-1/2 c raw cashews soaked 1 hr
3/4 - 1 c filtered water for blending
3 T lemon juice
1/3 c cider vinegar
1/3 c cold pressed olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1 t garlic pwd
3 t onion pwd
1 T dill
1 T sea salt
1/2 t basil
and to add after it's done:
1/4 c finely minced parsley
another 1/2 t dill, minced
Blend all ingredients till creamy and smooth except the last 2, then once blended, stir in the last 2 ingredients.
thickens in fridge.

Here is a raw slaw recipe that is great for the summer:
* 1/2 head green cabbage
* 1/2 head purple cabbage
* 2 carrots, grated
* 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
* 1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
* 1/2 cup raw olive or flax seed oil
* 1/2 tsp agave nectar
* salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
Combine cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
In a separate small bowl whisk together the vinegar, mustard, oil and agave until a creamy dressing forms, and pour over the cabbage and carrots.
Mix until well combined.
Smoothies are good for you and will fill you up so you don't get hunger pains quick. I would suggest doing it in an 'on off' style, ie- one week on raw only , the next off ( you don't have to go bad just add some pasta, of cooked beans) Especially if you are vegetarian because not getting protein from pulses can be very unhealthy.
That said i highly recommend avocado in smoothies cause they have good fats and make things creamy without all the calories!Raw food diet?
i plan on trying a raw food diet in the next few weeks, after i finish my job which involves alot of travelling and eating out...
anyways, as far as i know green smoothies are a good raw meal or snack, and they're easy.
try some spinach leaves (blend them with water to make a liquid and not a paste out of them), with pineapple and an orange!
or make your own with any veggies or fruit! apples and bananas are good too!
go to borders book store and check out raw food real world and write down the recipe for zucchini and green zerbra tomato lasagne pg. 173. i just made this last week and wow it's so good. The recipe itself is not hard at all, good luck and enjoyRaw food diet?
