How do you go about starting a 100% Raw Diet? What should a person start out on?

And if I say raw diet can I still just shop my local grocery store? I live in a very small area, the best I can get is from a local farmers market that wont even be around until spring time... I would like any positive feed back you can give. This is totally new to me and I am a bit confused what the difference of raw verse vegetarian is.

Can you list foods too as well or even recipes you really enjoy.

Thank you so much. How do you go about starting a 100% Raw Diet? What should a person start out on?
Yes you can still shop at your local grocery store. Try to purchase as much organic produce if possible. Organic has less of the herbicides and pesticides than conventional raised crops. My wife and I started this year on raw food exclusively. I would say to do what you can and ease into raw living. Maybe a raw fruit breakfast, a raw green smoothie and a sensible cooked dinner. This will not only help you move into raw physically but financially as well. The raw lifestyle does not have to be any more expensive than regular eating. Initially you may see a couple of higher grocery bills as you begin to stock raw staples versus processed stuff. The important thing is to have fun with eating raw.

Vegetarians eat strictly fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds and dairy products. Vegans use no dairy or dairy by-products at all. Raw foodists are more vegan as we eat raw fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts.

Start simple. If you have a regular blender, blend 2 bananas, 1 apple and 1 cup of greens like romaine lettuce, spinach or even dandelion greens. You will be amazed at the wonderful taste. Plus the enrgy boost you will receive.

Depending upon what type of diet you eat right now, you will probably benefit your transition bt consuming some slightly fattier fruits to begin with. Avocado and small portions of nuts will help the transition process. I use an avocado as substirute for banana in my afternoon smoothies.

The important thing is to have fun with raw. You will feel more energy and feel healthier. Do not concern yourself with the information on superfoods and supplements at the moment. They have their place, but right now you want to transition.

I wish you well upon your raw journey. May you bask in the sun and smile. Allow every day to be the best. You are worth it.How do you go about starting a 100% Raw Diet? What should a person start out on?
You can still eat from local grocery store.

always have dried fruit, raw nuts , bananas apples , salad . raw muesli.[use raw almonds , blended with water for milk.

Eat nothing cooked or processed,

All fruit and vegetables and raw nuts and dried fruits. Sprouted grains and beans. Salads raw hummus [sprouted chick peas, tahini, garlic lemon juice in a blender]

Use avocados as and instead of butter, cold pressed olive oil with apple cider vinegar [with the mother in it] .[look up in google about apple cider vinegar cure!]

All vegetarian means is, no meat. vegan means no animal products [or to wear]

A food hydrator and a blender are useful for raw food eating. Type in Raw food recipes on google.

It will clear your body and your head of toxins and is the most natural way to eat. Hard to stay on, but a great healer.

You never have to count calories anymore on 100% raw food. amazingly.

Good luck. How do you go about starting a 100% Raw Diet? What should a person start out on?
Well, vegetarians still eat cooked vegetables and fruit, etc. and raw vegetarians only eat uncooked food. that's the difference. If I were you I would head into my local library and pick up a cookbook with raw recipes. One of my faves is Ani's raw cookbook, or ani' raw desserts, I've also got one right now called Raw Food Real World, that has a lot of recipes. Eating raw food has a lot of benefits, and you'd be surprised with what you can make. You just have to be creative. I'm sure there are lots of online resources as well. Good luck with which ever choice you make. And most of the things you're looking for can definitely be picked up at a local grocery store. How do you go about starting a 100% Raw Diet? I would suggest making sure you get plenty of fiber in your diet to curb cravings and hunger. I think a lot of people get off track because they get rid of a lot of carbs and proteins that keep them feeling full.

Hummus is a good source of protein and fiber, and is an easy way to add some flavor to your veggies.
