Raw food diet for dogs?

Hi, I love my dog more than anything, and I want to him to live a long, happy, healthy life.

Of course, one of the most important things when it comes to health is an adequate, well-balanced diet.

So... I am thinking about alternating my pit bulls' kibble diet with raw meat and vegetables, so I am doing research on the matter.

I was wondering how many (if any) of you feed your APBTs raw food diets and what your thoughts on the matter are.

Advice, tips, suggestions, links, recipes, preparation steps, and any other information you are willing to provide would be greatly obliged.

Thanks for your time.Raw food diet for dogs?
I had a pitbull, Nina, and I loved her more than family. Including my mom. I spoiled her and fed her anything I was having, of course I was young. Fast forward.....Nina passed away last year (April) at only 11. Vet told me it was a natual death- she was just old...I think otherwise.

2 dogs later, I feed them Purina or Pedigree (I know the package) and nothing more than carrots or dog treats. I do not 'spoil' like I did with Nina....So take that as advice. I'm not a vet but I'm married now and older, have a super hot and intelligent wife that more or less changed my thinking in regards to a dogs health. So if you love your dog, keep it routine and strict; dry dog food of your choice, carrots or treats.

I had no idea that a dog COULD NOT eat certain things. Carrots are the only veggie that I know of that are good for dogs, but I know there are more....try the pet section. Please no raw meat....Raw food diet for dogs?
