RAW FOOD recipe/website for cats??

I'm starting my 7 indoor cats on a raw food "diet".

I know Innova wasn't on the pet food recall last month but i'm not taking any chances.

None of this dry food is good for cats.

Can you send me a website link OR a recipe for a raw food meal for cats?

Thanks a million.RAW FOOD recipe/website for cats??

I feed 13 cats a raw diet, and once I got the hang of it... it's a snap! It's going to be hard at first... but you can do it!!! I highly recommend starting with the catinfo.org recipe. It's easiest and time tested by a vet!

I have a GREAT place that I order my cat's raw diet from. felinespride.com they ship it out to you frozen. It is very $$$$ though and with 7 cats, you may want to learn to make your own.

Theres also a company that makes an additive to add to ground chicken, or beef. You just buy the meat and liver, mix it together, and its good to go. The website is: http://www.felinefuture.com/

Edited to add: Raw food can be frozen - I'm not sure for how long.
I agree that all of the pet food recalls have made feeding commercial food to our furbabies very scary. Here are two links with more information about feeding raw.

Cats are obligate carnivores which means that they have no dietary requirement for anything (including vegetables) other than meat. However, when a cat would eat meat in the wild they would also consume the hair or feathers, skin, and pieces of bone which contains minerals that are essential to your cats good health. If at all possible try to find a local butcher that will grind the chicken whole. Many specialty butchers will do this for you and it is not very expensive. If you can't find one in your area it is very important that you put a vitamin supplement that contains taurine in the meat mixture that you use. Kitty Bloom makes a great one that is specifically formulated to fortify a raw diet. It is available for sale at

There are also several raw food preparation and handling guidelines that must be followed to make sure that you don't make your kitties and yourself sick from salmonella. They are described in detail on the first link I posted.RAW FOOD recipe/website for cats??

Google the BARF diet. You'll get a lot of websites and info. BARF is the acronym, I cant remember what it stands for though. Good job doing something healthy for your pets, you'll notice a lot of great changes. :)
