How to make cat food?

I have 4 six month old kittens and their mother. They were feral when I found them (4 months ago?) and they've become as domesticated as they're going to get.

I try to get them the best foods I can (mixing Wellness and Iams wet) but it's so expensive for 5 cats. I want them to be healthy and I know they need meat. I am considering making them food but need some advice about it. I don't know anything about whether they should have meat raw or cooked? Spices they shouldn't have?

Does anyone know where I can find some good cat food recipes?

Thanks for your help

P.S. Before anyone starts giving "how to be responsible" lectures, I've already had all 5 of them spayed. How to make cat food?
Buying the biggest can of cat food or bag is usually the cheapest per pound/ per ounce.

Like Wellness has big cans 12.5 oz. Can for around $2.10(my local pet store) Even tough smaller can may cost less, you pay more per ounce. Same thing with dry cat food.

I don't even know if making your cat food be cheaper either because you have to buy and add vitamins(like taurine) to the cat food. If they don't get essential vitamins they can go blind, vitamin deficiency.

Meat at the store is expensive too. Most people i see online feed organic, free range, hormone free meat. They feed raw meat and cooked meat it depend on what the cats like. Some likes some cooked meat mixed with raw.

Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Cat

Alcoholic beverages, Baby food, Bones from fish, poultry, or other meat sources, Canned tuna (for human consumption), Chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeine, Citrus oil extracts, Dog food, Fat trimmings, Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder), Mushrooms..... and more (check link below)How to make cat food?
Get some canned tuna at the store and give it to them- my two cats both love tuna! All you have to do is make sure you chop it up a little for them since they're so tiny. Just to be sure they don't choke on a piece of tuna! How to make cat food?
