Recipes for cooked fruit (oral allergy syndrome)?

I have oral allergy syndrome, and I cannot eat any raw foods without having an allergic reaction. This isn't a problem with vegetables, but it makes it very hard to eat fruit. Does anyone have any recipes that involve cooking the fruit? Or do you have any experience with dealing with oral allergy syndrome?Recipes for cooked fruit (oral allergy syndrome)?
Hmm.. with the exception of something like a fried banana, baked apple, or poached pear, fruit is almost always served raw. If you just want more fruit in your diet, for health reasons or for taste, I'd use it as dessert in this type recipe. You can also use applesauce or mashed banana in baking, as a substitute for oil/fat or even eggs (if the egg is to be a binding agent). If you want something that stars the fruit but is more complex then baked apples etc., a pie, peach cobbler or apple crisp is always fabulous, or something like date squares (or as a variation, blueberry squares). Also, try using berries to make sauces for either your desserts or even entrees -like a pork tenderloin with blueberry sauce (you would cook the blueberries with wine, sugar, other seasonings, probably cornstarch to thicken) or applesauce. Other than that and jam, I can't think of any use for cooked fruit that wouldn't be a dessert. If you'd like more specific recipes, contact me.
