What are some good recipies for newcomers into sea food?

My mom has never cooked fish before, and we need a good recipe for we starters, cuz basically my whole family absolutely hates sea food )unless it tastes like chicken; and my parents like shrimp... from restaurants). And my mom is not the picky eater type. She is willing to eat anything... except sea food. SO any suggestions? a website with overly exaggerated details would be nice ^_^ Thanx! and no medium rare (or raw) please. What are some good recipies for newcomers into sea food?
Try a fish that is mild tasting. My kids hate fish, so I had to start them on tilapia or mahi-mahi. They are good fish for starters..not that overwhelming fishy taste.

Ever had panko breadcrumbs? They are very crispy. You can find them in the Asain section or breadcrumb section. Season your crumbs with some Old Bay seasoning and smoked paprika. First flour your tilapia fillet. Next, dip in some beaten egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs, and fry in a pan with vegetable oil. The fish is done when it flakes with a fork. What are some good recipies for newcomers into sea food?
I doubt you will EVER get seafood to taste anywhere near chicken. I have never tasted anything that swam that tasted like anything but fish. Not bad fish but definitely seafood. I feel simple is always best and you could try orange roughy baked lightly with a sprinkle of lemon pepper and drizzled butter. Bake at 350 in a pan for 10 minutes for every inch of thickness of the fish(this is for completely thawed.) Test by checking to see if the fish will flake easily. when completely done, it will flake apart easily and NOT be dry. Be carefull not to overcook because most seafood I have cooked, when over done, turns to rubber. I love fish and shrimp, etc but I am with you on the rare or raw fish thing. What are some good recipies for newcomers into sea food?
