How can i get around using a dehydrator when "cooking" raw?

ive just started eating raw and cant afford a dehydrator yet. i was wondering if i could use the same recipes in the oven at a very low temp (even if its higher then the recomended high temp for food)? i know thats "not allowed' but i wanted to experiment and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? How can i get around using a dehydrator when "cooking" raw?
I have a dehydrator but often I am ready to turn it off and go to bed before stuff is dried enough. I have found that if I put them (fruit or tomatoes) in my oven with just the oven light on, they will continue to dry. You could try that, possibly turn oven on low from time to time. Good luck. How can i get around using a dehydrator when "cooking" raw?
You could be like that family on the show Wife Swap, and just eat EVERYTHING raw. Including chicken and beef, they seemed ok, physically that is, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Oven Drying Oven drying is an acceptable method of drying food, but it isn't very energy efficient, and foods aren't very flavorful in the end. If your oven cannot obtain temperatures below 200 degrees farenheit, use another method for food dehydration. You will need to prop open the oven door to maintain air circulation during the drying process.

Electric Dehydrating This is the best method of dehydrating food. An electric dehydrator is energy efficient and can be operated at low temperatures needed to maintain nutritive values in the food. Your electric food dehydrator should have some sort of heat control and a fan to maintain air circulation during the drying process.
