In the above recipe, would I cook the sausage ina skillet before transferring it to the dish to be baked, or put it in raw to bake? How would I cook the sausage for this recipe?
Chorizo is a pre-cooked (smoked i believe) hard sausage, just add it to the dish as the recipe states and bake. How would I cook the sausage for this recipe?
It doesn't say to cook the sausage before adding it. so I would say you just add it raw. Cooks in the oven while baking.
Chorizo is already cured so it really doesn't require cooking. It should be fine mixing it in "raw".How would I cook the sausage for this recipe?
I'm assuming, by reading the recipe, that it uses precooked sausage. Just to be safe, I'd lightly pan fry it first, if for no other reason than to get rid of the excess grease. It sounds wonderful....enjoy!!
Lightly pan fry it anyway in a dry pan, ie no oil. It goes slightly crunchy, is gorgeous and if you are lucky, some of it will actually make it to the recipe! Use the oil to fry some sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and/or pine kernels and chuck these in the salad you eat with the penne. Super delish! How would I cook the sausage for this recipe?
Chorizo is a pre cooked sausage So you do not have to saute it at all. You just add to to the recipe.
This recipe looks delicious! You don't have to pre-cook Chorizo, it's already fully smoked and the flavors are fabulous. Once you put all of these ingredients together and cook them in the oven, the flavors of the Chorizo will come out, the natural oils, the smokey, spicyness will really make this dish heavenly! Enjoy.............
Put it in raw to bake. This is chorizo like a sausage link, not ground sausage.
well alot of sausage you get will be
fully cooked for this purpose. myself I would get the fully cooked there for you would not have to pan cook seperate. although if not fully cooked or precooked then yes you would have to fully cook in pan first.
