Can raw meat such as beef or chicken be ground in a food processor?

I have some recipes using raw ground chicken and can't find it. I'd be willing to make my own but don't have a meat grinder. Can raw meat such as beef or chicken be ground in a food processor?
Yes, you can use a food processor... just be careful (go slow - cube the meat and pulse the blades) or you'll end up with a paste. Can raw meat such as beef or chicken be ground in a food processor?
You can but the meat would be more like a paste than ground into pieces. The butcher will usually do that if you ask.

When boneless, skinless chicken breasts are on sale I usually buy at least 8 - 10 pounds. I have the butcher fix at least 5lb's of it into ground chicken. At home I freeze it one pound packages. Use like ground beef in tamales, casseroles, meat loaf etc.

If you are making chinese dumplings, using the food processor is good as you want a paste. Be sure to clean the processor well to avoid cross contamination.
you can use a food processor, if you have a pulse button on your food processor and dont do it for too long. otherwise it will turn out like mush. You would be better going to the butchers and buying chicken or beef mince. Can raw meat such as beef or chicken be ground in a food processor?
Yes, but you will get it too ground up. Ask the meat cutter where you buy the chicken or beef to grind it ... they usually will do this for free if you ask them to.
Yes you can use a food processor just make sure that you cut the meat into small chunks and wash the blade and the plastic parts in your dishwasher when you are doneCan raw meat such as beef or chicken be ground in a food processor?
You can't exactly call it ground, but yes, it works. I've used mine to make chicken meatballs from raw chicken breasts and chili from lean beef roast.
