Hi there, I would like to switch to eating raw food because I hear that it makes you feel good and (obviously) healthier. BUT you also lose weight due to the lack of calories. I don't want to lose weight because Im slim and have a hard time putting on weight as it is.
My question is: Is there a way to have a raw food diet but not lose weight (special recipes etc)
Thanks in advance.Raw food: can i eat it and retain my weight?
You just have to make sure you're getting the proper amount of calories daily. Believe me, it's very possible to eat raw and eat a lot of calories. Though it is easy to go opposite, so make sure you plan out your meals so you're eating enough. What eating raw tends to do is normalize your weight. IF you have extra fat to lose, you will lose it. If you don't, and you're eating enough calories, you won't.Raw food: can i eat it and retain my weight?
I've been a raw vegan for 5 months, and I was already slim when I started. As long as you at least get 1,500 calories a day (trust me, it's not too hard!) you shouldn't lose anymore.
You can also add nuts and coconut meat in your diet. :)Raw food: can i eat it and retain my weight?
Eat bananas and nuts. There are 45 calories in 2 walnuts or 7 almonds. That adds up. Also in 1 tbs. of peanut butter about 95 calories. Celery with peanut butter is really good and healthy.Raw food: can i eat it and retain my weight?
Going raw is a little eccentric. Just eat more fruits and vegetables but eat meat and dairy every other weak. It is more stressful to avoid them than not.
