so i've been a vegan for a year and now i'm starting to eat raw foods only. i went to the grocery store yesterday and bought dates, carrots, apples, bananas, arugula, a papaya, watermelon, red bell pepper, almonds, avocado, bean sprouts and honey dew melon. so i've basically been eating a lot of fruits and veggies. i haven't made any raw meals from recipes yet because they're kind of daunting.
i've been eating more fruits than veggies also because i just like fruit a lot more. is it possible to each too much fruit?
if anyone could give me any pointers, or recipes, i'd really appreciate it :)Starting a raw food diet.. pointers?
Raw: The Uncook Book: New Vegetarian Food for Life by Juliano Brotman and Erika Lenkert is a good cookbookStarting a raw food diet.. pointers?
The biggest issues with a raw food diet is that you need to watch your vitamin intake, and make sure you get the protein your body is designed to eat animals for. (Nuts, whey protein etc.. will work)
Salads are super easy and you can incorporate just about everything into them.Starting a raw food diet.. pointers?
Great resource with recipes that you can really use and make quickly is on the website below.Starting a raw food diet.. pointers?
You need more leafy greens and protein-nuts, seeds etc. Too much fruit- high carb and not enough long run energy.
